Baldwin Hills Fest
Summer 2010 & 2011

The Giant Puppet Parade and Performance Festival brought together the communities of Baldwin Hills, Crenshaw, and Culver City to celebrate the beauty of Nature in their own backyard. The site was the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook California State Park, the newest state park which boasts a near 360 degree view of the city of Los Angeles. Held in the summer in 2010 and 2011, the event also featured local performers, family crafts by the Craft and Folk Art Museum's Folk Art Everywhere Project, and presentations from Dorsey High School students culminating their Greenhouse program where they learned about habitat restoration and conservation. Tri-Pi produced in association with the LA Audubon Society and California State Parks. Co-coordinators were Kris Fitzgerald (2010) and Ethan Koerner (2011).
